Chain Conveyors
Chain Driven Conveyor
Chain driven conveyor is a very heavy-duty type of power conveyor that is usually used for conveying very heavy loads
in punishing environments where other powered conveyors wouldn't function. Chain Conveyor (also called pallet conveyor
or 'chain to chain') works by using a motor to turn a sprocket. This sprocket is connected to the next sprocket (and roller)
via a chain which is connected to the next in a similar fashion. An even amount of power is transfered to each roller creating
a very smooth and controlled motion. This aids in transporting volatile or sensitive loads safely.
As mentioned above, chain conveyor is typically found in harsh environments. Because it has no belting, this type of conveyor
can be used to transport hot, cold, dirty or grimy loads with very minimal damage to the conveyor. In addition to
being a very rugged conveyance, chain conveyor also works well with uneven load bottoms or industrial drums.
