Conveyor Curves
Roller & Belted Conveyor Curves
Conveyor curves are an important piece of any conveyor system. Conveyor curves allow loads to be moved in a different
direction of travel while still remaining in the conveyor system. This is useful when traversing around obstacles, moving
onto a sortation system or simply moving to a different part of the warehouse. Roller curves can be made with either straight
rollers or tapered rollers. Tapered conveyor rollers are typically needed when the conveyor speed would otherwise throw a load
off of the conveyor when moving at higher speeds.
Belted Curves are much like roller curves and can also have tapered or straight surfaces for conveying loads. All conveyor
curves are typically available with a 90 degree or 180 degree radius. Curves can either be powered on their own or slaved
to an existing conveyor run. Similar to conveyor curves are spurs & merges. Spurs are useful when loads need to branch off
of a conveyor and merges are used when loads are joining a conveyor run.
